New cars loaded with new features and technology are flooding and now buyers have multiple cars to choose from. Strong contenders and segment leaders are now challenged by rookie entrants. Microchip shortage and rising demand had resulted in longer waiting periods for popular cars like Hyundai Creta. In this article, we will discuss five cars that you can buy instead of buying Hyundai Creta.

Jeep Compass Petrol

Instead of going for the top-end variant of Hyundai Creta SX(O) that is priced around Rs 21.06 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Jeep Compass Sport 1.4 the entry-level variant of the car priced at Rs 20.70 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) is an option you can consider. The car is more spacious and premium than Creta.

Mahindra XUV700

The XUV700 is the latest offering from Mahindra. The car is feature-loaded, comfortable, easy to drive, looks, and feels premium. The base variant of the XUV700 is priced at Rs 15.04 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Whereas the best value for money variant the XUV700 AX5 with torque converter gearbox and the five-seater option is priced at Rs 20.47 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This can be a definite alternative to Creta.

MG Astor

Another feature rich car that can be a better option than buying Hyundai Creta. Despite being feature-loaded, the Sharp variant of the MG Astor comes with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine with a torque converter gearbox and is priced at only Rs 19.90 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This seems to be a good deal when compared to the top-end variant of Hyundai Creta SX (O) which is priced at Rs 21.06 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Volkswagen Taigun

Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus, the top-end variant of the Taigun is priced at Rs 20.74 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The car comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a dual-clutch gearbox. The car offers comfort, features, and a premium feel. This can also be a very good option for people who want performance and great driving dynamics.

5th Gen Honda City

The Honda City fifth generation is a good choice. The top-end variant of the Honda City ZX is priced at Rs 17.54 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Honda City being a sedan offers a premium feel and looks upmarket. It gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a CVT gearbox.
